Special Forces Association 2018 National Convention Tentative Schedule of Events

The 2018 Special Forces Association National Convention is scheduled for
12-17 June 2018 in El Paso, Texas. 

The theme for this convention is the "Mexican - American Green Beret"

Host Chapter is SFA Chapter IX, "The Isaac Camacho Chapter", El Paso, Texas.
Supporting Chapter is SFA Chapter LXXX, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Tentative Schedule of Events:  

Tuesday 12 June 2018
0800-2200 hours                    Hospitality Room Open


Wednesday 13 June 2018

0800-Until Complete             Golf Outing at Butterfield Trail Golf Course *
1400-2200 hours                    Steak Dinner at Cattleman's Indian Cliff Ranch  *


Thursday 14 June 2018

1000-1200 hours                    Chapter President's Meeting
1200-1700 hours                    War Eagles Museum Tour (Free OH-58 rides available; Free Fall
                                                Parachuting also available at additional cost) *
1900-2100 hours                    "The Green Berets" film at Plaza Theater **

Full Registration is $150 until 1 March 2018 when full registration will increase to $165.00
Full Registration includes the Hospitality Room, Cattleman's Indian Cliff Ranch Dinner, War Eagles Museum Tour and lunch, the Convention Banquet and the Picnic. 

You can also select individual events at the following rates:  the Hospitality Room ($50), Cattleman's Indian Cliff Ranch Dinner ($50), War Eagles Museum Tour and lunch ($30), the Convention Banquet ($65) and the Picnic ($30). 

The Chihuahua's Baseball Game is hopeful but the team's 2018 schedule is not set yet.

Lunch is provided at the War Eagles Museum Tour.  Attendees must purchase their own lunch/snacks at the Golf Outing, Plaza Theatre, Chihuahua's Baseball Game and the Viet Nam War Memorial trip.

There will be a Visitor Information Table and Local Vendors setup near the hospitality room. 
 
Anchor hotel is the Hotel Paso Del Norte which until recently was known as the Camino Real Hotel, and will be operating as a Marriot Autograph Hotel.  Again, this hotel is within a couple blocks of the Plaza Theatre, the Chihuahua's Baseball stadium and the Convention Center.

We will soon post information on hotels accommodations including locations, phone numbers and event code for convention pricing.   

The above schedule is tentative.  We are working to finalize events.
